The first dedicated FESPA Fabric event has taken place in Munich within the FESPA 2010 exhibition, putting the spotlight on the latest techniques and trends in screen and digital garment printing and decoration. Occupying a full hall at Messe Munich alongside four FESPA halls of digital and screen printing exhibitors, FESPA Fabric attracted visitors from 113 countries.

A longer lasting glow in the dark thread has been launched at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! by Madeira UK.

Speaking on the stand, industrial sales manager, Michael Cornish told us: "It’s not the first time that there has been a glow in the dark thread available, but the new technology means that this will glow a lot longer."

The 21st Printwear & Promotion LIVE! closed on March 2, with Exhibitions Manager, Richard Smith, reporting another record-breaking year.

With visitor numbers up 2% on last-year's show – also a record-breaker – Printwear & Promotion LIVE! is bucking the national trend with almost 4,500 attendees.

The show was held over three days at Birmingham's NEC. And for the first time, the International Promota Show co-located with P&P LIVE! on the second two days.

Direct to product ink jet printing opened up a whole new market when it was introduced only a few years ago. Up until then it was just not economical to print small numbers of full colour prints but companies like DTG and Your Embroidery Services Ltd were among the first to introduce us to this new technology which, at last, made the uneconomical affordable.

They're back by popular demand and there are a host of new categories in our new, improved garment decoration awards. Winners will be announced at the Printwear & Promotion Exhibition 2010.
