  • Blue Max forges ahead with new managing director

    Blue Max, which supplies schoolwear, childrenswear, workwear and leisurewear, has appointed Nigel Plenderleith (right) as managing director.

    Formerly managing director of Banner Group, Nigel will be joining Blue Max later this year.

    The appointment has been made by the company's founders and owners, husband and wife team, David and Mary Fawcus. David, the group's chief executive, has also doubled up as managing director for some years. 

  • Workwear that's visible in a completely new way

    Now you can be dramatic in your working day by simply pulling on one of the new, spring fresh T shirts from workwear manufacturer MASCOT. 

    Yellow, red, lime green and cyan blue is what you should be seen in, in 2010, according to designers at MASCOT. 

    And it is only in 2010 that you can get these T shirts as, for the first time, MASCOT has launched a Limited Edition range and the preliminary sales suggest this is not the last time.

  • Europe a 'key target' for embroidery machine manufacturer SWF

    Korean-based embroidery machine manufacturer SWF held their European Conference in the UK, hosted by Your Embroidery Services Ltd.

    The three-day event in Coventry covered a host of topics from the latest machines to the on-going development of a European-based sales and support centre.

    It was also the first time that most delegates had met the new President of SWF, Mr Kim, who was present throughout, along with chairman Mr Inchul Park.

  • Madeira announce new glow in the dark thread

    A longer lasting glow in the dark thread has been launched at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! by Madeira UK.

    Speaking on the stand, industrial sales manager, Michael Cornish told us: "It’s not the first time that there has been a glow in the dark thread available, but the new technology means that this will glow a lot longer."
