The first Premier League Morning Live fan festival supported by Avery Dennison took place in Illinois, Chicago on September 21 and 22.
The event brought US-based soccer fans together for a free weekend of live-streamed fixtures, creating an electric atmosphere where supporters could immerse themselves in the excitement of Premier League action, cheering on clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
As the Premier League’s official names, numbers and sleeve badges supplier since 2019, Avery Dennison brought its A-game to the Chicago event. Fans flocked to the Avery Dennison tent for the chance to personalise their jerseys and win exclusive merchandise through exciting prize draws.
In celebration of the Chicago event, Avery Dennison also designed a special-edition jersey that paid tribute to the windy city. The jersey showcased Avery Dennison’s embedded NFC technology which allows fans to scan a digitally-enabled logo and connect with online content.
Simon Allen, EU aftermarket commercial director at Avery Dennison, said: “We’re excited to continue our partnership with the Premier League, united by a shared goal of enhancing the sports fan experience, whether in the stadium or beyond. Events like this perfectly capture that vision.
“The success of this event cements Avery Dennison’s role in supporting the Premier League as it grows an impassioned US fanbase. Connected jerseys help in delivering the superior experience these devotees deserve. By embedding technologies like RFID, NFC, and QR codes, we are revolutionising fan engagement, connecting the physical and digital worlds in unprecedented ways.”
