Keypoint Intelligence launches dedicated UV DTF test service

Hanatek Rub & Abrasion Tester - Keypoint Intelligence
A rub and abrasion tester which assesses coating and substrate suitability

A dedicated UV DTF test service aimed at delivering apples-to-apples comparisons across key performance areas is being launched by Keypoint Intelligence.

The programme will evaluate each device individually across a rigorous suite of standardised criteria, with hundreds of data points of analysis reviewed and results published in a clear, easy to read technical format.

The test spans six key domains, reflecting both practical business suitability and real-world durability. These areas are; productivity, image quality, durability, ease of application, ink consumption, and user maintenance.

With UV DTF devices hitting the market at breakneck speed, there’s a real risk of misinformation. Marketing claims can be vague or contradictory, and with no ISO standards in place, buyers have little to anchor their decisions on.

This new UV DTF test program fills that gap – offering structured, transparent, and replicable analysis. This initiative builds on Keypoint Intelligence’s legacy of testing across print categories and ensures that UV DTF’s growth is rooted in clarity, not hype.

The service will be available in the second half of this year.
