Grafityp UK has an all new garment transfer product called Hi-5, manufactured by Siser.
Hi-5 is a 90 micron PU heat seal material for plotter cutting and is specifically designed for polyester based performance wear or technical fabrics as well as cotton/elastic fibre blends and can be heat applied in just five seconds! This makes it an ideal choice for applying on to garments such as those used for sport and fitness, dancewear and other stretchy clothing. The material is thin, elastic and soft to the touch blending well into textiles.
The five second, high pressure application coupled with a low temperature of 120°C (or 150°C for multilayer applications) prevents undesirable effects such as glossiness, press marks, damaged fibres and the decline or loss of some of the specific features of the fabric to which it is being applied. As with many of Siser’s garment films, this material is certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I and is also REACH compliant. Hi-5 comes on its own polyester backing, the material is cut and weeded (made easier by placing the cut material on a warm surface for a few seconds) then placed on to the garment with its polyester backing, heat applied and the backing can be removed warm or cold to complete the process.
There are 20 colours available to choose from in the Hi-5 range with four of them being fluorescent, ideal for graphics you want to stand out. It is fully washable at a temperature of up to 60°C once applied to your garment, however, it is recommended to wait 24 hours before washing and not to use any aggressive chemical agents or bleach during this process, it is suitable for tumble drying.
