Monarch Color launches new plastisol ink

Monarch’s new inks

Monarch Color has announced the launch of a new plastisol ink for the T shirt screen printing market.

Aaron Blank, vice president sales and marketing, said: “Monarch Color Corporation has always been known for providing innovative inks to the offset and flexo markets that display brilliant, high opacity, ink colours and we decided to apply that knowledge and innovation to our new plastisol ink.

“We are always strategically looking at new markets to expand our business portfolio, and we felt that in this market we could create something special, and I believe that we have done that.”

This new plastisol ink will be launched with three versions; 100% cotton, 50/50 cotton-poly blend, and a 100% polyester, low bleed.

The plastisol ink will come in yeti white, bigfoot black and 10 base blending colours.

Mr Blank added: “Our white is the most opaque white on the market today, and we continue to add more colours to our system.”

T shirt printers who have had the opportunity to use the ink agree with Mr Blank’s comments.

David Collier, owner of Ink Floyd Design & Production, said: “We were really pleased with the results we got from Monarch’s ink right out of the bucket. Our printers like that it has a nice, fluffy consistency. No more straining at the forearms getting ink out of the bucket, even on cold mornings. We also noticed that it cleans up really easily, which is a big win, when it comes to saving time during ink changes. We also noticed it had a very nice soft hand and optimal opacity.”
