Sign & Digital explores textiles in next online event

Sign & Digital UK (SDUK) has announced details of the next event in the Sign & Digital Online series: Talking Textiles. The event will take place on December 15 from 9.30am to 1pm.

With the growth of the digital textile printing market accelerating and forecast to quadruple in the next seven years, now is the time to consider adding this profitable arm to your business. This event will explore the revenue opportunities for sign makers, digital printers, print service providers and even entrepreneurs looking to set up their own home business in textile printing.

From soft signage to garment apparel to interior décor and wallcoverings – digital textile print is spanning many markets. The demand for personalisation is ever-growing and has become a consumer and business expectation. Whether you’re new to the market or looking to build new revenue streams into your existing services, join us as we deep dive into the technology available, the processes used, and the business opportunities you can harness.

Phil Oakley of Kornit Digital will present a Market Business Briefing on Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing. He’ll cover workflow requirements and generally how to make the chaotic more organised and the complex more simple. Colin Gillman will be chatting to Colin Marsh, managing director of Resolute DTG, to get his insight into the potential in the DTG market and how sign-makers can get involved. Colin will also interview Magnus Mighall, RA Smart, and discuss how easy is it to get into producing personalised apparel with a DTG printer. Don’t miss the Technical Session: Business Opportunities in Customisable Products, with Phil McMullin and Tom Owers, Epson UK. Phil and Tom will talk about the growth in the market for personalised, high-quality garments and customised gifts. The event will end with a Talking Heads session: Grow your business with Textile Print in the Décor & Furnishings markets – where Jack Gocher and Colin will be joined by Garry Brown, YPS and Beth Travers, BoBo1325, to hear first-hand about the opportunities in textile printing and the expert knowledge that’s essential to grow your business.

This is an interactive opportunity to ask questions and talk to experts from all areas of the industry, including manufacturers, suppliers, and sign makers.

A number of suppliers will also showcase their latest offerings first-hand, including Zund, RA Smart, YPS, Trotec, TheMagicTouch, and Epson (UK), who will have technical experts on-hand to answer all your questions.
