Custom Planet invest in new printing equipment

Online custom printing and embroidery specialists, Custom Planet have added to their printing capabilities with an investment of £60,000 on printing equipment in a bid to increase output.

The addition will see their screen printing capacity expanded to approaching up to 8,000 T shirts a day and the company has created new jobs for production and sales staff.

The centrepiece of the investment is a new M&R Sportsman EX. This automatic screen printing press allows for multiple colour options, ensuring that the growing demand for orders are met.

The M&R Sportsman EX is complemented by an M&R Diamondback – another automatic screenprinting press that allows the use of eight simultaneous printheads and eight to 10 station configurations.

Managing director, Andy Dark, commented: “We’ve had a stellar year so far and are looking at growing even further with the aim of producing more products in-house and investing in new machinery which will allow us to move more manufacturing back over to the UK.”

Custom Planet specialises in providing quality customised garments for individuals, groups, organisations and corporate customers. The company is based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
