In June 2016, Roland DG announced the launch of Texart Fluor ink, which has been specifically formulated to work with the Texart XT-640 and RT-640 wide format dye sublimation printers.

The Texart XT-640 is the newest edition to Roland DG’s textile offering and is the company’s most efficient dye sublimation transfer printer to date. The XT-640’s advanced print control technology, in combination with Texart inks, produce stunning sharp image quality and brilliant vivid colour ideal for sportswear and fashion designs.

Developed to expand and enhance dye sublimation transfer printing capabilities, the new Texart Fluor inks deliver premium print quality across a range of products including: sportswear, fashion, soft signage, décor and promotional merchandise. The newly developed inks, which come in both fluorescent pink (Fp) and yellow (Fy) one litre clean hands pouches, which can be combined with Roland DG’s existing Texart ink colours, including orange and violet, to produce hundreds of vivid fluorescent hues.

Mark Elvidge, business development manager at Roland DG UK, said: “We are constantly evolving our Texart range and listening to our customer’s requirements.  Our customers’ requests have risen for these inks due to the growing demand for these colours to be used in fashion and sportswear. Having both Fp and Fy gives us the widest scope of colour spectrum, we have created a CMYKOrViFpFy ink configuration for both the RT-640 and XT-640 which means we can get a huge colour gamut and brilliant fluorescent shades.”

Maximise colour customisation

To further increase the accessibility of the new Texart Fluor inks, a proprietary Roland DG Fluor Color Library swatch palette has been created, which can be installed using both Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW facilitating ease of use and maximum colour customisation.
