
With over 30 years’ experience, Liz Woodhouse has launched the Embroidery Academy to meet a growing demand in the industry.
Ms Woodhouse has spent the last 15 years working at Amaya Sales UK as business development and sales, and has now taken the plunge to launch her own training academy for embroiderers.
She said: “I was asked on several occasions if there was anyone who could offer hands on practical embroidery training. It was then I realised there was a huge gap in the market, so decided to launch my Embroidery Academy.”
Ms Woodhouse started her career in embroidery at the age of 19 working for Geoffrey E MacPherson as a draftsperson, then went on to become a digitiser and trainer. She purchased her own embroidery machine at the ae of 26 and started Elle Designs with her best friend Lisa Craddock, who now works for Barudan.
