Roland DG has launched a new large-format UV flatbed printer designed to simplify high-volume board production for sign and display businesses.

The EU2-1000MF enables direct-to-board printing, removing several traditional steps such as printing, laminating and mounting. The company says this helps reduce manual handling, improve consistency and speed up turnaround times.

Built for rigid media applications, including signage, retail displays and interior panels, the system is designed to support more predictable production workflows in busy print environments.

The new model also offers around 1.5 times higher productivity than its predecessor, while maintaining the same price point. It can handle media up to 1,220×2,440mm and thicknesses of up to 95mm.

Roland DG said the aim is to help print businesses increase output without adding complexity to existing operations, supporting a smoother transition to digital production.

The printer forms part of a wider ecosystem, including RIP software, inks and service support to provide an end-to-end production solution for rigid board work.
