Five new products launched

Five new products head the line-up this year for Resolute DTG. Three new printers, a new pre-treatment machine and RTP. That’s right, Resolute has started to sell garments that are ready to print with no pre-treatment needed.

R-Jet 5i DTG

The R-Jet 5i takes over where the very popular and successful R-Jet 5 left off.

The R-jet 5i has powerful extraction which cuts down on cleaning times

With the R-Jet 5 going out of circulation this year, the faster more economical 5i version is already out selling its predecessor. The 5i is not only less to buy than the R-Jet5, it has shaved up to three minutes off production time going down to a little over four minutes for a two pass high res print and three minutes for an in-line production print on dark garments.

The R-Jet 5i benefits from using Image Armor ink which has a cure time of only 35 seconds and is very durable in the wash.

In 2016 Resolute became the European distribution hub for Image Armor products. The combination of the R-Jet 5i price and speed is sure it sure to push it to the number one spot in Europe as did the R-Jet 5 four years ago.

R-Jet 6 DTG

With the R-Jet 6 now churning out shirts at its beta sites and already lined up for installation at over 10 UK sites in a few weeks, the wait is finally over.

R-Jet 6 is a high production machine running industrial print heads over a massive 500x600mm platen size with fully automated three-axis printing.

Worth the wait it certainly was, due to be beta tested over six months ago the R6 has gone through rigorous trials before it was let loose in the hands of beta testers.

With hybrid printing and direct to screen versions being released soon, R-Jet 6 raises the bar very high in DTG printing. Like the R-Jet 5i it will be running ink that requires only 35 seconds to cure with a similar equivalent price tag per litre. Fast and economical to run, it will boost production in any sized company printing all over shirts, two shirts and also four shirts at the same time.

Resolute and US based iGroup Technologies join forces

The iGroup technologies pre-treatment machine

In July 2017, Resolute joined forces with iGroup Technologies in a license agreement allowing parent company, Resolute Print Group, to manufacture equipment for sale in the UK and EU that is currently only available in the US. iGroup has been the pioneer in several areas of DTG printing and Resolute is excited to be manufacturing iGroup’s products under the Resolute brand here in the UK.

RTP Apparel – Ready to DTG print T shirts

The introduction of RTP into the DTG industry is one of most labour saving breakthroughs in the past 10 years. Garments ready to print not only offer 100% repeatability they save a lot of time especially on double sided prints including sleeves.

This is the first line of garments Resolute has sold and it has been a very happy introduction to the apparel market. At the time this article is being written black and white T shirts are available to order online, royal blue and red are next to be released and these are due to hit shelves around October time.

1800Z UV textile printer

In July Resolute introduced the first DCS 1800Z UV textile printer in the UK. The multipurpose UV can print anything from a simple phone case, to a tactile and braille sign, plus light and dark coloured textiles.

The new touch interface on the 1800z UV

The specially developed UV ink is the only UV ink to carry the CPSIA certification for wearable textiles and works on cotton and polyester with no pre-treatment. This relatively new technology has already been snapped up by several high street brands for producing customised sportswear. The print area is 300x600x375mm and can also print onto cylindrical items like plastic or aluminium water bottles.

A busy year as usual and that’s just the way we like it at Resolute DTG.
