Garment personalisation has never been easier

Using coloured films for plotter cutting and heat pressing onto garments has been for some time an excellent way of personalising garments. Being able to digitally print a full colour image onto a white or clear heat-pressable film has taken that process a big step forward. With the introduction in recent years of smaller print and cut digital printers, such as the Roland Versa Studio BN20, the ability to produce and apply full colour printed graphics for garment personalisation has never been easier.

Doro Tape stocks a full range of films for use on garments specifically for printing with these types of digital printers. They offer excellent photo image quality, and can be applied direct to almost all types of fabric without the need for time consuming pre-treatments. These films are ideal for any type of graphic, but come into their own when doing multiples of the same logos or decals. Taking into account all the costs and time involved, the production of printed decals using this system is very competitively priced.

Doro Tape’s Image Flex range includes the 4030 Pro Soft White and 4025 Pro White for use on any cotton, polyester or cotton/polyester mix garments. These films can be used on any colour of garment no matter how dark and can be washed up to 60oC. However for highly coloured sport gear such as football shirts, where the garment’s sublimated colours can bleed through when heat pressed, Doro supplies its Image Flex Pro Sub Block 4010 with its block-out layer designed specifically for this purpose.

The great thing about using this printing system is that you’re not limited to the type of fabrics that can be personalised. The Image Flex Pro Nylon 4035 can be applied to most nylon jackets, bags and even umbrellas allowing for a much greater selection of promotional products for personalisation. Doro Tape even supplies the Image Flex Clear 4625 a super fine film for printing onto light coloured fabric. This has the look and feel of a screen printed or DTG printed graphic, but to reiterate, does not require the preparation or pre-treatment of the other two printing methods.
