Poly Star is the latest Gunold thread available from GS UK – a perfect combination of function meets glamour.
Poly Star as the name suggests is made from polyester thread which is twisted with a metallic thread. The polyester component makes the thread functional, hard-wearing and soft, whilst the metallic thread causes Poly Star to sparkle and glitter.
This special effect 30’s weight thread offers a completely new look. Embroideries and decorative seams sewn with Poly Star look harmonious, subtle and at the same time very elegant. Poly Star is very gentle to the skin as Gunold’s marketing manager Stephan Gunold explains.
He said: “The existing metallic threads always seem to scratch your skin unpleasantly. This is exactly where we started with Poly Star. We were looking for a sparkling, glittering effect thread that also feels pleasant to the skin and with Poly Star we have succeeded!”
The complete range includes 54 modern, vibrant colours although initially GS UK will be stocking a selection of 20 popular shades, in 1000m mini-king cones.
