Magna Colours to carry on the LJ Specialities business

Magna Colours has acquired the goodwill and inventory of  LJ Specialities, following the recent announcement on the closure of the business.

The LJ team led by Andy Lee will transition to employment with Magna Colours and will immediately support the transition to Magna. The transition will come with challenges and opportunities for Magna, the LJ employees, customers and suppliers, but with goodwill and efforts on all sides a smooth continuation of service will be created.

All previous orders placed with LJ Specialities will be supplied from LJ and managed with no change with respect to delivery or payment.

All future orders will be managed and delivered from Magna Colours who are based in Barnsley, UK.

Existing contact details for the LJ Specialities team will remain the same.

Magna Colours chairman, Tom Abbey, said: “Magna are delighted to have the opportunity to build on the foundations of service and technical development which LJ Specialities have created. The complementary skills of the Magna and LJ teams gives us a superb opportunity for future growth and to serve both customer groups with additional services.”

LJ Specialities general manager, Andy Lee, added: “Along with the rest of the team at LJ I am delighted to be able to continue the development of the LJ offer with strong support and also continue our long association with customers and suppliers.”

Plastribution managing director, Mike Boswell, said: “I’d like to thank the teams at LJ Specialities and Magna Colours for the proactive and positive way they have approached this opportunity. This is a marvellous outcome for Magna and the employees, customers and suppliers of LJ Specialities and we wish them well for the future.”
