Regatta Professional will hit shelves with its newest textile-to-textile circular clothing range.
The Recycle.me range is made up of five garments, including a thermal jacket, bodywarmer, softshell, fleece, and polo.
Launching in May, the company first teased the range at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! in February.
Regatta has partnered with The Circular Textile Foundation and Project Re:claim to unveil this new range made using 100% polyester mono-fibre fabric.
In 2021, around 711,000 tonnes of used textiles were discarded in the household bin and in general waste containers at Household Waste Recycling Centres.
The collection supports the return of materials back into the supply chain, extending product life and maximising long-term value.
This means that they can be recycled through Project Re:claim – the joint venture between SATCoL and corporate wear specialists Project Plan B. Project Re:claim is the UK’s first polyester mechanical recycler designed for fibre to fibre recycling.
Anthony Haber, managing director of Regatta Professional, said: “As a business, we’ve dedicated time and resources to ensure Recycle.me is a lifelong success and a model for the industry in working to reduce waste and return useful materials into the supply chain.
“Our work with CTF began last year in a first step to be awarded their expert certification and has led to a joint venture we’re incredibly proud to be spearheading.
“Recycle.me marks an important milestone for us, but it is only the beginning. We are excited about building a long-term partnership with everyone involved as we continue working together to drive meaningful progress and create lasting positive change across the UK textiles industry.”
