Printwear and Promotion Live proved to be the most successful yet for Resolute DTG. Their stand featured to the new R Jet i3 and the R Jet UV and for the first time, printing on polyester shirts.
This is made possible by Resolute’s unique pre-treatment machine that sprays two different solutions, impossible to mix together but when applied individually create an invisible barrier for the ink to bond to when cured. This makes polyester printing available using standard Resolute or DuPont Ink, negating the need to swap inks and saving money.
The launch of the R Jet UV makes printing onto hard substrates available using Resolute’s tried and tested R Jet range. Its usual ink setup will be CMYK plus white plus gloss varnish. It will print onto most hard substrates and will have a textured print mode for finishes such a snake skin, one feature is it can print signs with an image and text in braille. With a print area of 600 x 380 x 120mm and an upper weight limit of 5kg the printing of display products opens up potential new markets to those already involved in garment decoration.
Printwear and Promotion also saw the launch of the first commercially available direct to garment printer available at less than £6,500. The R Jet i3 is fully portable and uses bagged ink making it ideal for use at shows and exhibitions, and even the summer festival season.
The show also proved a successful one for Linda at Wirral Screen Printing. Linda was the winner of Resolute DTG’s prize draw to win the one off chrome R Jet 5 package. Debbie Eales drew and winning ticket and Resolute DTG MD called a surprised Linda from the show to tell her she was the lucky winner.
