Roland DG announces new Roland Academy training courses and Better Business Boot Camps

Two additions have been added to Roland DG’s popular Roland Academy and Better Business Boot Camp courses.

The Roland Academy has launched a new half day laminating course in conjunction with Vivid Laminating Technologies, the first of which will be held on June 19, while Roland’s new Better Business Boot Camp run by Joe Wigzell, Roland Academy and Creative Centre Manager, will focus on the new Texart RT-640 dye sublimation printer and will take place on the June 26. Both courses will be held at Roland DG’s HQ in Clevedon.

Print Finishing – A Laminating Masterclass, June 19

The half day laminating course is run in conjunction with Vivid Laminating Technologies; Europe’s industry-leading manufacturer of laminators. Getting lamination right is a valuable tool for anyone in the print business, saving money and time for all involved. The course offers a comprehensive coverage of theories and practices involved in digital print lamination, as well as showing how easy and hassle-free the processes can be when you have a good grounding of knowledge behind you. The Roland Academy half day laminating course is open to all digital printers and sign makers regardless of their level of laminating experience and costs £150 + VAT.

Texart Dye Sublimation Better Business Bootcamp, June 26

The latest addition to the boot camp library, the Roland Texart Dye Sublimation Better Business Boot Camp, is a concise yet comprehensive overview of the Texart RT-640 and the processes and benefits of dye sublimation.

The Texart RT-640 has been developed specifically for dye sublimation, delivering superb quality, vivid colour and highly stable performance. This allows printers and sign makers to add value and versatility to their business through the production of a wide range of profitable applications including apparel, signs, interior décor, fashion and original goods.

The course is run by Joe Wigzell, who guides attendees through Roland DG’s ‘Five Better Business Stations’ in an informal and friendly atmosphere. The event is driven by customer feedback and interaction and offers valuable information and development options for newcomers or old hands.

Joe Wigzell: “Our Roland Academy and Better Business Boot camps have both become recognised throughout the industry for their focus on providing a wealth of clear, concise and practical information on how printers and sign makers can use their Roland kits to expand and diversify their businesses and grow revenue and profits.

“The addition of the Roland Academy laminating course and the Texart Dye Sublimation Better Business Boot Camp is the next step in us extending our range of training courses into the finishing and the soft signage and textile sectors, further enhancing our customers’ knowledge, best practice and opportunities in these areas.”
