This year’s P&P LIVE 14 show for us was all about innovations. We had 2 new models of machine on display and 2 new pieces of software. The new products have been warmly received by customers and sales were agreed on the stand on both machinery and software. Tajima were celebrating 70 years in business and we were celebrating 20 years. Tajima has always been the benchmark in embroidery machine design and this year’s releases again show why they are the market leader. The new TMAR-K Series is a leap ahead in machine design with a new large touch screen operating panel, huge new memory, top speed of 1100spm but the thing that made this machine stand out above all others was a brand new designed motor driven presser foot. The presser foot is now electronically driven by a motor and can be controlled to go to whatever depth and stop in position for however long to hold the fabric down until the needle has cleared the product being sewn. This makes for high quality and very precise sewing on thicker materials such as leather. The other development in machines from Tajima is a TUMX-C Single head machine with a completely new chassis design and over head pantograph drive which leaves the sewing area open with no obstructions on either side enabling you to sew large bags, shoes etc without the normal problems of hitting the sides of the machine. This machine was demonstrated with a new air clamp system to enable easy stitching on bags, pockets and side of shoes etc.
With our software partners Pulse Microsystems we showed 2 new applications one of which is a new remote machine controller that works through a handheld Android device. Sidekick enables you to pick a design, add lettering and send to a machine on your network simply and quick. The connection of machines with Tajima Dg/ml by pulse networking options is changing the way people run their business. The days of going to find a design, save it to disk or memory stick are gone. You can simply scan a barcode a retrieve any design in seconds and the design comes into the machine with colours set! Save time save money!
The other software application which we demonstrated was our PULSEID. PULSEID is a system that automates your orders to generate Embroidery designs with personalisation, Vinyl cutting, Engraving and DTG printing files. Imagine an order coming in from the internet or into your office on the phone and that order being generated automatically to create the correct stitch file, vector outline, jpeg etc and have it ready to directly download to your machine with no human intervention in between!
