Jester Prints celebrates 40 years of quality heat transfer production this year making it one of the most experienced and longest established companies of that type in the world.

Working from a modern  purpose built factory just outside of Burnham-on-Sea, Jester produces most types of transfer used in the industry today including cold peel, hot peel, flock, litho process and digital process full colour transfers.

Clients range from the one man band who chooses transfer printing to supplement his existing embroidery or screen printing business, through to large T shirt printing companies that realise that using transfers enables them to print bags, caps or shirts where the print position or designs are beyond that of direct screen printing.

Jester transfers arrive ready to use, with no weeding or secondary processes necessary. Many printers producing vinyl transfers have realised that, while their system is ideal for short runs of transfers, it makes sense for higher quantities or difficult to weed transfers to subcontract the actual transfer production to Jester. They can then concentrate on making transfers more suited to their equipment, selling more shirts or simple working less hours.

Jester Prints also provides an in house transfer application service for clients that wish to subcontract the entire print process. Buying shirts or bags from its own distributor which are shipped directly to Jester who make and apply the relevant transfers, repacking if necessary, and send directly to the end client.

Confidentiality is a major issue with this sort of work and one that is appreciated and respected by all at Jester Prints.

So, the first 40 years is almost done – the team wonders how the transfer industry will develop before the 50th anniversary is celebrated?
