Dave Roper announces October’s T shirt of the Month

DSC 3319 Dave Roper announces October’s T shirt of the MonthThe October winner of Dave Roper’s T shirt of the Month competition is a design by Monster Press.

This design is printed with florescent inks on a soft discharge underbase.

Will Petersen said: “Most of the inks were straight out of the pot (for once!), the purple and blue were custom mixed. Often we would use the white discharge base for the white in the design, but this wouldn’t have glowed well under black light, so we added a top white and mixed with glow in the dark ink, to make it pop a little more and also, obviously, glow in the dark.”

The artwork was designed by UK illustrator Craig Robson (Daggers for Teeth). Mr Petersen added: “We wanted to make a modern design that’s influenced by old 1960s/70s black light posters, with a super trippy design, but incorporating Craig’s signature style. Think he pulled it off well!”
