Hammer Unisex Windwear Jacket and Hammer Ladies Windwear Jacket

The Gildan Hammer range will expand this September with the introduction of a line of jackets, sweatshirts and hoodies.

According to Gildan, the Gildan Hammer line offers unbeatable choices to meet the demands of decorators and their customers alike.

This collection redefines classic T shirts and outerwear by integrating fashionable details, tear away labels and innovative fabrics that are perfectly printable.

New products in the range include the Unisex Softshell Jacket (SS800), the Ladies Softshell Jacket (SS800L), the Unisex Windwear Jacket (WR800) and the Ladies Windwear Jacket (WR800L).

The softshell offers 100% protection against the wind, water, snow and cold with its three layer softshell technology. The jacket features two front hand pockets and one shoulder pocket and is available in eight colours. It is suitable for heat transfer printing, screen printing and embroidery.

The windwear jacket is made from 100% polyester and features a brushback tricot liner in the body and a self-fabric liner in the sleeve for added warmth. The jacket is both water repellent and windproof and is available in eight colours. The jacket can be screen printed and embroidered.

Gildan adds that the Hammer range features a modern palette that includes eye-catching colours, striking the right balance between ultimate comfort and standout style to satisfy any need in any season.

In other news, Gildan has recently announced the purchase of a sizable piece of land in Bangladesh as part of the company’s new capacity expansion initiative to develop large-scale vertically-integrated manufacturing in South-east Asia.

The land was purchased for approximately $45 million and will be used to expand Gildan’s global textile and sewing operations. The plan consists of the development of a large multi-plant manufacturing complex which is currently expected to include two large textile facilities and related sewing operations. Once fully operational, this complex is expected to provide capacity to service over $500 million in sales. The first textile facility will built during the next 24 months and production is expected to start in the latter part of 2021.
