As Incorporatewear expands its in-house facilities, the company has appointed a new head of operations.
Daren Turner takes up the new post, after working for the West Midlands-based business for 12 years.
The company has brought together the management of its technical, warehousing and procurement operations to allow for more efficient service to a growing number of customers. It means Mr Turner will be responsible for more than 40 full-time staff as well as large numbers of contract workers during peak periods.
“Bringing all the disciplines together with all the managers in one open plan office has already led to more effective communications within the company, and that translates into more efficient service for our customers.
“It’s a fantastic challenge for me because of the sheer volume of tasks but the best part of the job is the variety because of all the different facets of the Incorporatewear business,” said Mr Turner.
His role includes a significant element of international travel to countries such as Portugal, Bangladesh and China where he is responsible for improving the supply chain into Incorporatewear by sourcing, vetting, auditing and developing suppliers, including factory planning.
