Corporate clothing specialist Incorporatewear has expanded its in-house facilities to provide more flexibility for customers ordering embroidered and heat sealed decoration.
The company has invested more than £50,000 in embroidery machinery, allowing it to turn out designs from a few thousand stitches per centimetre to 10 times as many.
One reason for that investment is that Incorporatewear expects growing demand for embroidered logos on uniforms in the corporate sector. Moving the operation in house gives greater control, speed and flexibility in garment and logo development.
As well as investing in new machinery, Incorporatewear has expanded the decoration area to include heat seal application and the sewing room so that the full range of embellishment is now in-house. Its specialist team now numbers eight people.
The cost savings are significant too, because for example sending out numerous small batches out and having them returned can easily cost £100 per shipment.
Having the operation in-house also means the company isn’t subject to minimum order quantities from external finishers, an important benefit for some clients who may want only one or two garments processed at a time.
