Founder of TheMagicTouch passes away

Juergen Hagedorn, founder of TheMagicTouch

Juergen Hagedorn, founder of TheMagicTouch and industry pioneer of the digital image transfer business, passed away on April 16 after a short illness. He was 72-years-old.

Mr Hagedorn was recognised as the original creator of coated image transfer papers. He formed TheMagicTouch back in 1989, a company which is now represented globally in over 50 countries worldwide.

Born in Frankfurt, his early years in business were spent working for leading advertising agencies before having the vision to create, invent and market this new digital transfer revolutionary process that had emerged due to the arrival of the first ever colour copier technology. The personalisation of promotional and gift products had begun.

Mr Hagedorn was devoted to his family and is survived by his wife Monique and his children Peter and Vivian. He was a massive country music fan, in particular Jimmy Buffett, plus all things related to Hawaii, his favourite place on earth.

He will be greatly missed by all connected with transfer and personalisation business.
