Kingly has recently passed another Smeta Pillar 4 audit with flying colours.
Kingly is the only socks producer with a zero-waste facility and one of only 52 GOTS-certified sock knitting manufacturers worldwide. There is no other GOTS producer with an office in the UK that has met the criteria in the same product category, as the certification is incredibly difficult to obtain.
Kingly’s GOTS organic cotton socks are composed of 80% organic GOTS cotton, 17% eco-friendly regenerated polyamide (recycled nylon) and 3% elastane. They are a sustainable alternative to the most popular textile promotional products and are favored by tech giants like Google, Samsung, Facebook, Instagram and many more.
GOTS stands for eco-friendly, organic production, underpinned by socially responsible and ethical employment – from fair wages to health and safety in production and in supply chains. These products make a difference as they not only leave a better environmental footprint but also guarantee the well-being of our employees.
For a sock to call itself an organic cotton sock, it must not have used any chemical pesticides, genetically modified seeds, or artificial fertilisers. Its production is supposed to promote and enhance biodiversity and biological cycles. Spun with care and comfort, it is softer, kind to your skin, and gentler on the planet. Moreover, if not recycled it’s biodegradable, so it creates less waste going to landfill.
Kingly’s GOTS organic cotton socks have achieved ‘Honours score’ – the highest sustainability rank given by BCome’s Cradle to Grave sustainability platform that empowers textile and apparel businesses to build responsible supply chains, guarantee transparency and bring it to the final customer. Moreover, all of Kingly’s socks are included in this third-party sustainability system with QR codes that reveal their sustainability scores.
