A detailed report from third party auditor Intertek has confirmed Kingly’s socks are free from hazardous substances, and align with Unilever’s standards.
According to the report, Kingly has achieved the following:
- Successful compliance with Unilever’s hazardous substance testing;
- Positive validation from Intertek, the independent third-party agency;
- Strengthened partnership with Unilever and potential clients through enhanced trust in our compliance processes.
Unilever is a global leader in consumer goods, which requires all suppliers and its products to meet specific compliance criteria, particularly concerning hazardous substances.
It requested a pre-screening test for Kingly’s GOTS Organic Cotton Socks, and Intertek then conducted a pre-screening test on a sample of the socks.
Upon passing the pre-screening test, Unilever issued a purchase order. After receiving the purchase order, a comprehensive bulk test was conducted with more samples and a deeper evaluation.
Intertek checks various variables to ensure compliance with Unilever’s stringent standards. Successful bulk testing confirmed Kingly’s products met all necessary regulations, allowing it to proceed with the order.
Kingly had various internal Oeko-Tex certifications that were presented along with the samples that were tested for harmful substances. The company partnered with Intertek for impartial product reviews, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Each batch of socks underwent thorough hazardous substance testing, documented in a detailed report by Intertek.
In the past, Kingly had also successfully completed testing for clients such as Blue Chip Breweries, Sony and Samsung.
