Kornit Digital has collaborated with fashion design students at Max Pine High School in Tel Aviv to present a fashion show commemorating 14 victims of the Nova festival and fallen soldiers of the ongoing Israel–Hamas war.
All clothing items in The Garment Remembers show were digitally printed in collaboration with Kornit Digital and Cadena Prints.
Each fashion item in the display was based on the personal tastes, hobbies, and unique styles of the victims, including the clothes and jewellery they wore.
Elizabeth Shkliar, social media and brand lead at Kornit Digital, said: “The collaboration with Max Pine High School students was exciting and meaningful for us. Using our digital printing technology to commemorate the victims shows the power that fashion and innovation have to tell important stories and preserve the October 7 victims in the public memory.”
Shir Bachar and Yael Horev, co-ordinators of the fashion design major at Max Pine High School, added: “This project was a way for us to commemorate the murdered and the fallen soldiers in a manner that speaks to the students. We wanted to preserve their memory through a project connected to their fashion, culture, and everyday life. Each fashion story of each victim touched our hearts deeply, and their legacy will forever resonate through the clothes we sew inspired by them.”
