Lynka provides jobs for Ukrainian refugees

More than 50 Ukrainian refugees have been given jobs at Polish garment decorator Lynka since the Russian invasion of the country began in February.

Speaking to Josh Einiger of Eyewitness News, owner of the factory John Lynch said: “They had a normal life a month ago. Their husbands and sons and fathers are walking around with AK-47s, defending their country, and they’re here every single day wondering if they are safe.

“I said I have to do something here. I have to help these people.”

Born in New Jersey, as a young businessman, Mr Lynch invested in a post-Cold War building and a company called Lynka, which would become one of Europe’s largest T shirt printing factories.
