Mutoh Europe has announced that Frank Schenk has been appointed as general manager sales, EMEA, reporting to Mutoh Europe’s managing director, Mitsuo Takatsu.

Holding a degree in electrical engineering, Mr Schenk will head the sales and sales support teams of Mutoh Europe and Mutoh Deutschland.

Mr Takatsu said: “We are very pleased to have Frank Schenk on board. He can rely on nearly 25 years of experience in the wide format digital print industry. With his extensive experience and strong focus on sales and distribution, Frank is a perfect fit for our organisation. He will manage our existing extensive network of certified distributors throughout EMEA and further develop our business growth in vertical markets.”

Mr Schenk added: “I am very happy to join the Mutoh team. I have always been impressed about Mutoh and the excellent printers they develop and manufacture in Japan. Mutoh have a strong reputation for high quality and reliable products in the market and an important installed base. I am eager to meet the experienced local Mutoh teams as well as the Mutoh distributors to consolidate our current channel and to develop further business growth for Mutoh in the specialty industrial and textile print niche markets.”

Until recently, Frank Schenk was head of sales commercial and industrial printing for Epson Deutschland.
