Leading wholesale garment distributor, PenCarrie, is excited to announce the appointment of a new CEO, Mark Campbell.
Starting on the 2 April 2024, he will replace Tony Lock, who, after 17 years with PenCarrie, is beginning a new chapter – retirement.
PenCarrie has carefully selected Mark, otherwise known as MC, to spearhead its next phase of development. As a family-run business, there was emphasis on securing a CEO who embodied the values of the company: partnership, inspirational leadership, and a focus on customer success.
Tony Lock commented: “I’m delighted to be able to hand over to MC and am keen to give him the best possible start so he can drive PenCarrie forward. Whilst this clearly comes with mixed emotions for me, following a most enjoyable 17 years with PenCarrie, I’m looking forward to the future; working in NED (Non-Executive Director) roles – and getting more involved in charity work.’’
MC qualified as an accountant with Grant Thornton in 1998 and progressed through a variety of roles, including Retail Finance Director, Business Performance Director, and CFO. For the last 7 years, he has been CEO at the well know, family-owned and operated business, The Entertainer, where he led the business through a great period of growth.
PenCarrie is thrilled by the prospect of MC’s decision to join the family, and the team are excited by the skills his experience will bring to the business. From April, MC will start his thorough induction with PenCarrie, including visits to key brands, and customers.
Nicci Gratwicke, director and owner, commented: “We welcome our new CEO with open arms, excited by the wealth of experience and visionary leadership he brings to the table. As we embark on this new journey together, we look forward to collaboratively weaving the threads of MC’s expertise into the fabric of our future success. A huge thanks to Tony for his passion and dedication over the years, and we look forward to celebrations later in the year!”
