BTC activewear has made an important transition in its leadership team. With the company’s owner and managing director, Stephen Pope, stepping down after 35 years, Neil Pitcher has been appointed as the new managing director, and has been active in the role since September 1.
Mr Pitcher has been with BTC for the last 20 years, having joined the business in 2004, and progressing through the ranks to his most recent position of commercial director.
Mr Pitcher said: “BTC isn’t new to me, so we have a unique opportunity to try new ideas and strategies without any delay or hesitation. Fast-paced action is going to be pivotal to our approach, we are ready.”
With regards to the Mr Pope, Mr Pitcher said: “Steve has been an inspirational leader to me and many of our team. His balanced, measured and modest approach has been focussed on giving us an excellent operational structure, warehouse facility, system and process infrastructure that enables us to deliver a reliable service, every day. This now gives us the opportunity to build on some very strong foundations and we can only thank him for his absolute dedication and leadership over the years.”
