Following another high performance year Orn has once again outgrown its infrastructure necessitating a further warehouse move and the implementation of a top specification warehouse management system.
Having only moved into a new building in May 2016 while exiting a 3PL arrangement, this has become totally inadequate to the level of orders now being processed on a daily basis. The warehouse will be moving over Christmas to a new facility in Buckingham, a 55,000sq ft high bay warehouse.

Orn has invested big, in both facilities and people. Joining the team in December 2016 are two highly trained logistics personnel in Peter Johnson and Gary Dowler. With over 30 years’ experience in logistics and working for firms including General Electric and The White Company, Mr Johnson will be running the new logistics facility. Mr Dowler brings to the team a further wealth of experience from working at Wincanton and also Wolseley Group, and together their goal is to have the Orn warehouse running to industry leading levels in the very near future.
Orn is also implementing Snap Fulfil, an award winning warehouse management system which will go live in April 2017. This will help efficiency, reduce stock outs and enable the warehouse team to push the boundaries on service to valued customers.
The new warehouse facility will have more than tripled the volumetrics currently available, allowing Orn to invest further in stocks to cope with the ever increasing demand for products. With over 4,000 pallet locations together with 7,000+ pick locations and space enough for more than 2.5m garments it’s a timely move for the brand as it goes from strength to strength.
