PSI 2023 sends strong signal for the future

More than 10,000 visitors attended PSI 2023

Europe’s leading trade fair for the promotional products industry, PSI returned to Düsseldorf for the first time in three years and sent strong signals that the industry is back.

A total of 487 exhibitors participated during the exhibition, and 10,509 visitors from 75 countries made it clear that promotional products and their industry are back.

Uwe Thielsch from koziol, an exhibitor at PSI, said: “The spirit of optimism at the PSI was huge, as was the joy of being able to meet us again on this platform. We know what we’ve been missing in recent years.”

Barbara Leithner, chief operating officer of RX Austria & Germany, the organiser of PSI, added: “The international response in particular, not only from Europe but also from North America, the Middle East and North Africa, exceeded our expectations. Every second visitor came to PSI from abroad.

“What was particularly impressive was the innovative strength and agility with which the companies used the time to adapt their products to current requirements and trends using sustainable materials and modern technologies.”

Sustainability was high on the agenda for visitors to PSI with 91% of respondents to the Promotional Items Monitor stating that it plays a decisive role when purchasing promotional items. This increases the demands on manufacturers, as Oliver Leykam from Staedtler emphasises: “It must become normal for production to be resource-saving and for products to be sold that have a longer useful life.”

At the same time, awareness of the quality of promotional items has increased significantly in recent years.

PSI 2024 will take place from January 9 to 11 in Düsseldorf.
