The incredible speed and quality is made possible by the industrial stainless-steel Ricoh print heads the Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 use. These are normally found in much larger equipment, proof Ricoh has really gone to town on making the Ri range a force to be reckoned with. One clear benefit to the industrial print heads is they jet high viscosity ink. This requires a much thinner layer of ink to obtain a high-quality print. This means less ink used bringing the cost down to below other high end DTG printers, the thin layer of ink also produces an image incredibly soft and practically undetectable to touch.
