Over the last few months, Stanley/Stella has been working on many projects regarding sustainability.
Sustainability is one of the brand’s main core values. From the cotton field to its collection, but also its waste treatment, Stanley/Stella’s objective is to always act with transparency for people, the planet and for society.
Along its path to sustainability, Stanley/Stella has recently become a Fair Wear Foundation leader. The Fair Wear Foundation is a non-profit multi-stakeholder organisation that works with 149 garment companies to improve labour conditions in the garment industry. The foundation evaluates topics like supply chain, labour practices, traceability, and management during the Fair Wear Foundation Brand Performance Check.
Stanley/Stella has been a member since it was founded, and now, its leader status at Fair Wear Foundation has been renewed. Being a leader indicates Stanley/Stella showed best practices and its commitment in complex areas like living wages and freedom of association.
Secondly, Stanley/Stella has launched the Stanley/Stella Charter, which is a guiding framework the brand will use towards operating as a responsible company in the garment industry. It articulates Stanley/Stella’s commitment to addressing critical environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues in its area of influence and outlines the 10 core principles that guides the brand’s behaviour and inspire the entire Stanley/Stella community to care about the planet and its people.
And last, but not least, Stanley/Stella has released it new Sustainability Report. The company believes that a fairer and more sustainable fashion industry is possible and that it’s a shared responsibility to continuously improve how it creates and operates. From the cotton field to the collection, Stanley/Stella has established and maintained high standards. It meets organic certifications, so decorators can offer the very best to their customers. The Sustainability Report provides further insight into what these endorsements mean to the company.
