Tajima Group acquires Pulse Microsystems

Embroidery machine manufacturer, Tajima Group has acquired embroidery and decoration software company Pulse Microsystems, establishing it as Tajima Software Solutions (TSS) in Toronto.

Pulse’s workflow and personalisation automation software for embroidery, print and engraving has transformed the production process and e-commerce offerings of the largest global brands in sportswear, fashion, workwear and gifts, according to the companies. It’s also a popular software choice for small- and medium-sized companies. Automating on-demand and personalised product decoration of all types using any machine brand and any decoration technique has enabled customers to scale their businesses profitably and sustainably, the companies note.

Hidetoshi Kojima, CEO of the Tajima Group, said: “Our vision of providing comprehensive solutions to the product decorating market depends on integrating world-class software technology with our world-class hardware engineering.”

He added that Pulse’s technology, including vector and image processing engines and its cloud platform, will allow Tajima to develop new intelligent machine functionality and industry 4.0 with IoT connectivity.

Tas Tsonis, co-founder of Pulse and now managing director of the newly established TSS, will continue to drive the technology vision at TSS, along with Pulse co-founder Brian Goldberg and executive Claude Vlandis.
