A choice of four DTF models in 2022

As the UK’s largest supplier of direct to film equipment and consumables, it’s no surprise that in 2022 Resolute has no less than four DTF models to choose from.

Starting the range off is the R-Jet PRO DTF MIDI, a 42cm compact system and moving up through the range to the new R-Jet PRO DTF NP, the very first powderless DTF system that has a unique option for metallics and spot colours.

R-Jet PRO DTF MIDI

To date this is the only 42cm DTF printer that can be used with manual powder application using the included desktop curing oven. It has an optional wheel up automatic finishing unit including a vacuum belt for curing sheets and fully automated reel to reel operation.

The R-Jet PRO MIDI benefits from using the same dual print head technology as its 60cm big brother. The printing speed of the MIDI is very impressive – in fact it is up to 10 times faster than other printers in a similar price range while maintaining high quality prints. Features like this are normally found on larger printers but, as the MIDI is a clone of its tried and tested 60cm big brother Resolute has included all the good features while keeping the footprint small as is the price.

R-Jet PRO DTF 60cm V4

Two years in the field now this fully automated DTF system has remained one of the most popular in the UK. Version four launches this month (available in September) with some additional features that make the R-Jet PRO DTF 60cm even better.

V4 has a new film feed system that monitors the film tension and warns the operator when a new roll needs to be loaded. The R-Jet PRO DTF 60cm now has a built-in computer station which reduces cables across the floor and makes running multiple systems more efficient. When used in its automatic reel to reel mode the R-Jet PRO DTF can produce up to 1,000 chest print images ready to use within an hour. With only a 10 second heat press required it is possible to produce a lot of garments per day and the printer can be run by one operator.

The R-Jet PRO DTF NP

Using the very latest in DTF technology, this unique system produces high quality DTF transfers that when pressed have practically zero feel. Instead of using powder it has a third print head that jets a special water-based clear liquid adhesive. When the film exits the printer it is ready for curing. A special print mode in the Resolute RIP allows selected areas of a design to be printed with just the clear adhesive, this means hot foil can be applied over the print and it will only stick to the glued areas and not the ink. No other DTF printer offers this amazing capability, metallics and spot colours can now be applied with the same stretch properties as the inks.

The special water-based inks and adhesive have Oeko-Tex certification. They can be cured using the provided reel to reel dryer system that allows the operator to perform other tasks and as there is no powder chamber to fill up so it can be left unattended for longer periods of time.

R-Jet PRO DTF UV

No longer does a product need to be loaded into a printer nor do bottles need rotating attachments that are notoriously slow at producing the smallest of images.

The new fully automated R-Jet PRO DTF UV prints on a continuous 60x100m length roll producing ready to apply UV printed self adhesive images. The roll can be loaded into a suitable vinyl cutter so smaller images can be kiss cut for easy removal and application. The laminating process has been fully automated and is built into the printer, so it does not use a separate laminator removing the need for constant monitoring by the operator. Application leaves just the ink, and clear varnish if required, on the product, which can be anything suitable from glass, bottles, metal, acrylic, phone cases, water bottles, wood and many more. Once the ink is applied the pressure sensitive adhesive continues to cure for a further 24 hours. Once this time is up it is dishwasher (domestic and commercial) safe.

The trials for this process were done by a brewery using pint glasses decorated for a special promotion. The results were a 99% success rate which they claim is higher than the current method of screen printing. The difference is that with the R-Jet PRO DTF UV you have no setup and no minimums to worry about. Items printed can have variable data making part marking and high-quality product labelling a single process.

To make it easy to find out more about Resolute’s current and future DTF products, the supplier now has a new website dedicated to this new and exciting process. From requesting pricing, sample transfers or to book a demonstration please visit or contact sales specialist Ricky Robinson-Nunn.
