Garment decorators can now use the latest RIP solution for direct to film and direct to garment printing from Caldera.
The software offers an expanded range of features to ensure that it becomes the go-to product for printed apparel creators, printers and producers.
Previously, the software was only available in bundles from selected DTF and DTG printer OEMs. Now, the new RIP will be rolled out for the entire garment decoration market, providing a simplified solution that allows users to offer full customisation to their clients for unique pieces and small batch print runs.
The interface is easy to use and focuses on the features that matter most in DTF and DTG printing. It includes built-in self-training guides, making it easier for beginners and experts to learn and improve their DTF and DTG skills in an autonomous way. If the user needs assistance, he can easily access Caldera’s knowledge base directly within the interface.
The software can handle white ink with precise White Management Tools and measurements, while the Print Management features include ready-to-use presets built by experts. Additionally, users can preview their designs before printing, allowing them to spot potential errors and save time.
Caldera’s specialised RIP includes File Preparation tools, such as automatic image mirroring within the interface, and a wide range of Color Management Tools. The software introduces initial functionality for spot colour conversion and fine-tuning, a knockout tool and management of up to 12 inks, including fluorescents, varnish, gloss and pre-treatments.
Sebastien Hanssens, VP marketing and operations at Caldera, said: “We’ve made the interface really intuitive and easy to use. We’ve focused on the features that matter most for DTF and DTG users, designing the product to simplify the creation of accurate apparel decoration designs that align with a brand’s colours. This not only saves users significant time, allowing them to complete more orders, but it also helps beginners to learn and improve DTF/ DTG skills with its integrated educational content.”
