Fruit of the Loom has reaffirmed its commitment to employee development by supporting one of its marketing apprentices in undertaking an international training placement through the Erasmus+ programme.

Viktoriia Dvornik, a trainee marketing communications specialist at FOL International GmbH, recently spent three weeks in Dublin, Ireland, gaining practical experience and developing her language and intercultural skills. Organised through KBBZ Saarbrücken’s Friedrich-List-Schule, the placement formed part of the European Union’s Erasmus+ initiative.

During the first week, Dvornik attended an English language course at ADC College before spending two weeks at Citas College Dublin. There, she observed classroom activities, engaged with learners and contributed to marketing projects, including planning events, generating social media ideas and preparing presentations.

Reflecting on the experience, Dvornik said: “Looking back, the internship was a great chance to grow – both professionally and personally. I would take part again at any time, and I think it’s great that Fruit of the Loom gave me this opportunity.”

Christian Lanvermann, senior marketing manager at FOL, added: “Such international experiences foster both professional and personal development – especially with regard to independence, intercultural competence and language skills.”

Fruit of the Loom continued Dvornik’s apprenticeship throughout the placement, including maintaining her salary during her time abroad.
