XP5206 Linen Effect Cushion Cover

Xpres has reinvigorated the dye sublimation gift market with a raft of new products. The new XP5211 Stainless Steel Water Bottle has an elegant design and is available in five distinctive colours. These water bottles have been in high demand, particularly from progressive companies who are complicit in the need to reduce single-use plastic.

Xpres has also introduced two sublimation cushion covers, both of which are constructed from 100% polyester with varied finishes. The XP5206 Linen Effect Cushion Cover is perfect for creating classy, rustic designs whereas the XP5207 Canvas Effect Cushion Cover is better-suited to more contemporary designs. Each serves as a perfect backdrop for placement prints.

Xpres has observed that roll-to-roll fabric printing is emerging as a rapidly growing market. This set-up utilises existing large format sublimation printers and requires an additional calendar unit (rotary heat press) for continuous printing onto textiles.

Xpres has been aware of this upward trend for a number of years and as such had begun selling a variety of calendar units as well as a wide range of polyester based fabrics. This combination of hardware and textiles enables roll-to-roll print production for a variety of applications such as cycle jerseys, scarves, cushions, curtains, blinds and upholstery.

Xpres product manager Grant Cooke feels that printing for bespoke application is going to explode. Grant suggests that ChromaLuxe sheetstock empowers sublimation printers to develop niche markets that will literally give them a cutting edge.

As part of his continuous research, Grant states that: “An increasing number of sublimation printers have realised the opportunity presented by routers (digital cutters) to shape ChromaLuxe sheetstock into a number of bespoke shapes from doors, quirky table-tops, kitchen worktops and cupboard doors, hexagonal coasters and loads more!”

Sheetstock is available from Xpres in a variety of finishes including MDF, hardboard, aluminium and plastic for a range of indoor and outdoor applications and is available as big as 1200x240mm. Grant explains that if you have the power to shape and print sheetstock, you have the power to boom in both retail and commercial markets!
