DTF production is entering a new phase where efficiency is defined not only by speed but by reducing workflow interruptions such as roll changes, film waste, static and moisture. On modern high‑volume systems, a 100m roll can be used in just a few hours, forcing multiple daily changeovers that halt production and create unavoidable waste.
Resolute has tackled this by bringing DTF film production in‑house, manufacturing rolls up to 1.2m wide in virtually any length. This allows high‑output customers to specify film that matches their equipment and workflow. During beta trials, a 63cmx200m roll proved especially popular, enabling two 30x40cm transfers to be printed side‑by‑side, reducing waste while maintaining an efficient print area.
This custom service complements Resolute’s existing off‑the‑shelf range, including 60cmx100m rolls and widths of 45cm, 42cm, 35cm, 33cm and 30cm. Epson, Roland and Mimaki users can also benefit from Hot Peel PRO rolls in 80cm, 90cm and 1.2m widths, supplied in custom lengths and at competitive direct‑from‑manufacturer pricing.
The development aligns with industry demand for continuous roll‑to‑roll production, better layout efficiency and reduced downtime. Fewer roll changes and improved film utilisation directly increase throughput, labour efficiency and material savings.
Central to the new service is Resolute Premium Pro hybrid coating, designed to combat patchy colours, moisture and static – common causes of instability in long DTF runs. Exclusively licensed to Resolute, the coating delivers vibrant colours and cleaner solids, with greys and blues showing marked improvement. It is applied using a confidential multi‑layer process that enhances tac continuity.
Resolute has invested in a 1.3m automated slitter and spooling system capable of converting 4km master rolls into precise custom formats. As the only UK company processing PET film specifically for DTF and manufacturing low‑sediment inks, Resolute strengthens its position as a leading DTF technology provider.
Interest is growing internationally, including discussions with US‑based DTF farms seeking high‑volume custom roll supply. With family ownership and UK‑based manufacturing, Resolute continues to focus on solving real production problems for high‑output customers.
