Colour matching has never been easier than with Sawgrass’ new SubliJet-HD expanded gamut inks for the Virtuoso 25in eight-colour product decorating system featuring the VJ 628 printer.
This latest eight-colour ink set offers CMYK, Lc and Lm, orange and blue ink cartridges which deliver a significantly wider gamut of colours than is attainable with a traditional, four-colour CMYK configuration.
Patrick McGinnis, Sawgrass’ director of product marketing, said: “This ink set was designed for product decorators who have colour-critical applications, such as sports and corporate logos, school colours, flags and banners.
“Adding orange and blue to the CMYK, Lc, Lm configuration greatly expands the gamut range of traditional CMYK. Now, decorators can more easily attain hard-to-match colours like reds, blues, purples and Pantone colours.”
SubliJet-HD XG was designed with print service providers, sign shops, service bureaus, promotional product vendors and sportswear/sports merchandise printers in mind. This ink set comes with a preconfigured XG colour palette of popular spot colours that can be loaded directly into Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or CorelDRAW graphics software for easy use. New colours can also be created, applied and saved to the palette for quick spot colour matching and frequently printed jobs.
In addition to this wider range of colours, SubliJet-HD XG delivers superior quality output for traditional prints. VJ 628’s eight-colour capabilities with Lc and Lm components provide smoother gradients and shading for high-resolution images, when compared to traditional CMYK output. With the addition of SubliJet-HD Black XF to the set, this new configuration also provides extended image stability and longevity.
SubliJet-HD XG currently manages colour using Wasatch Soft RIP. Additional RIP integrations are currently in development.
