Russell breaks the rules with the HD T

Having rewritten the rules about polycotton and sublimation printing last year, Russell’s Men’s and Ladies 165 HD T shirts are bolder than ever in 2015, with six new colour options.

In addition to white (155gsm) and the three marl colours blue, red and grey, the HD T is now available in a further six marl colours (all 160gsm), coral, purple, yellow, silver, green and pink.

Made from an exclusive polycotton blend that offers the best of both fabrics (65% polyester, 35% ring spun combed cotton), these T shirts have a luxury feel and slim fit that will appeal to anyone seeking a fashion look.

Of course printability is the key selling point of the HD T and this T shirt is just what sublimation printing has been waiting for. Sublimation is a fast and economic printing technique and the result is a superior, more durable image that won’t fade, peel, crack or wash out. The HD has broken the rule that says sublimation printing should only take place on 100% polyester garments. Indeed the HD T is great for all types of printing.

Another rule dismissed with this T is that sublimation only works on white fabric, not true. Yes choose white if you want the best colour reproduction, but if you’re looking for a muted retro vibe, then any of the other nine colours will produce a great looking T shirt design.

It’s also easy to add bespoke back-neck branding to any HD T, as they come with a removable adhesive label, perfect for retail, events and tourism.
